Australian Shepherd / Great Pyrenees / Mixed (long coat) : : Male (neutered) : : Adult : : Large Won't you think about adopting me?
Bandit was picked up as a stray in rural Oklahoma. He appears to have had NO contact with humans before landing in the shelter. We have been working to gain his trust, and he has made a LOT of progress, but he is still very shy meeting new people. Bandit gets along really well with other dogs, and is very playful. He has learned to walk nicely on a leash, and does well walking on a coupler with another dog. He seems to prefer sleeping in the crate, and will go to bed on his own at the end of the day. Our hope is that with continued practice, Bandit will become more trusting of humans. He really seems to enjoy it when his foster family pets him and brushes his lovely coat -- he just soaks up the attention as though making up for lost time. We feel sure that Bandit will come around, but it will take a very patient, gentle adopter. Bandit has been neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped, so he is ready to find a forever home. If you are ready to commit to spending at least 3 months earning Bandit's trust, please visit our website to learn more about our adoption process and complete an application: https://www.bluebonnetrescue.org/info/adoption
