When sweet Amelia was picked up in a residential neighborhood in Mount Pleasant (East Texas), it was clear she had been nursing a litter of puppies, but there were no puppies to be found. When Animal Control learned the identity of Amelia's family and contacted them, the owner said they didn't want to take her back because they couldn't take care of her. When asked about the puppies, the owner said they were "re-homing" them. :'(

We believe Amelia is a Great Pyrenees/Akbash mix, though she is on the small side for either of those breeds. She is young and playful, and prefers playing with dogs her size and smaller. She LOVES people and will soak up as much attention as you will give her. She will share the sofa with you without nagging you to pet her constantly. She has ignored the cats we have introduced to her.
