In the summer of 2022, a male/female pair of Great Pyrenees were sighted roaming around rural Collin County, thin and ragged. A Good Samaritan took them in and started looking for a rescue to help. She named the dogs Zoey and Cuppy, and on 6/24/2022, Zoey delivered puppies. Bronwyn is the only female of that litter.

Bronwyn has grown into just about the perfect pup. It's really surprising that she hasn't been adopted yet, because she's beautiful and sweet and has done really well with crate-training, potty-training, and leash-training. Bronwyn gets along with other dogs -- she's playful with the young dogs who will engage with her, and she tries to be respectful of the older dogs who have no interest in her advances. She spent some time in a foster home with young children and learned how to be respectful of them too.

Bronwyn has spent literally her entire life in rescue, in 4 different homes. She has been exposed to cats, donkeys, horses, geese, and guinea fowl. During her stay at Windsong Ranch, Bronwyn was a regular visitor to our chicken yard, and she mostly ignored the chickens. Bronwyn is very happy as a companion who lives in the house, so she is not available for adoption as a working LGD. But if you have a backyard flock of chickens, and you are committed to continuing her training, she could be a good choice.

Based on her growth thus far, by the time she's a year old, Bronwyn will most likely weigh around 90 lbs, and as an adult, it's possible she could top 100 lbs. These are just our best guesses based on the size of her parents, her growth to date, and our experience with other Pyr puppies.

If you think Bronwyn is the Pyrfect pup to add to your family, submit your application here: https://www.bluebonnetrescue.org/forms/form?verify=abc123&formid=3796.
